After many years good service my Airtop 5000 is playing up.
It fires up and burns happily for about 10-15 minutes before the flame goes out, fuel continues to be pumped for a short while resulting in clouds of smoke until it shuts down and restarts only for the process to be repeated. It doesn't what matter what the heat setting is.
I've checked the fuel flow and replaced the fuel filter. No problem with volts and no air restrictions anywhere
Unfortunately the timer/thermostat panel doesn't show any diagnostics.
I'm guessing the burner is carboned up, but it's puzzling why it only shuts down after its been running for a while.
My next steps are to run it on kerosene for a while to see if that cleans the burner chamber, but before I do that I'm wondering does any recognise the symptoms?
