I am sitting here a ,little grumpy because the weathewr is just no good for sailing. It's too hot. No point in getting our brains fried in 38 degrees when it is so much nicer inside. It doesn't happen often last season we missed one race because of weather, again' you guessed it it was too hot. We did have a beautiful night race last night for 3 hours in gentle winds which does help to make up for the probability of cancelling the start in the race tomorrow afternoon again forecast too hot.
Forgive the tackiness of rubbing this in to you folk in Northern Hemisphere in the definitely off season. Actually I can't understand why more of you don't invest your 700 quid in a plane ticket put up with 20 hours of horror in tourist class, to emerge in the sun to charter at relatively7 cheap rates a yacht in almost guatranteed good weather.
This little corner of the world, Fremantle, is very sailing, boating orientated but is not a recognised tourist trap. There are a few charter outfits however. When I translate the cost of boats and services to Oz dollars I would suggest costs here are about half of that paid in UK to add to the bliss of no tides to speak of and predictable good, though windy 20 knots weather and the slight risk of frying your brains. Try yellowpages.com.au for yacht charter particularly in West Australia or emai me if I can help . Not trying to sell anything just sympathetic to you frustrated sailors.
