Weather on the water

A bit grim for the Fastnet racers I gather but a more important occasion coming up. Tonight it's the Hythe Venetian Fete which involves a tricky inshore passage by decorated rafts up and down the canal. Conditions could be challenging - the grass will be wet for a start.

And then got my second wave of the week from the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports - first was at the Dover sail past on Sunday. He's a Rear Admiral but this time his flagship was a raft pulled by a rowing boat.

We went there the other day, cracking visit but didn't see Sir at all (or if we did we didn't recognise him).
