Hi,

It's been a busy Monday here. I've been trawling through the records looking at comparisons between the current El Nino conditions and winters here in the UK. There's a quick musing for you to read on the subject here http://www.weatherweb.net/wxwebtvsimonnew.php?ID=459

Today's Look Ahead video is online now and it gives all the usual detail for this week and for what promises to be another pleasant weekend. I've some ideas for the end of September too.

You can watch the video now at http://www.weatherweb.net

Keep the sun shining!

Simon

Hi Simon

Not going to ask your opinion on "climate change" but another irritating point of view coming out of the Met - media is something of a mystery.

According to all the chat i've heard (until recently) the UK climate is supposed to be getting warmer and drier and the current spell of (5?) wet summers are but a blip in the trend.

Listening to some news on Radio 2 the other day the opinion seems to of changed (since it's been blatantly obvious weather has not be drier), now i'm hearing that we will get wetter summers due to the differential of the cold air and warm air being less, and therefore the jet stream wont move so far south.

It all smacks of guess work to me.
