It’s Monday. Given the accuracy of forecasts that far out, The weather will in all likelihood NOT be that....

So it’s looking good for the weekend!

METEO consult is showing roughly the same but going into Sunday more. If the 'forecasting' goes the same way as when I was on holiday 4 weeks ago; I think that Sunday will be a 'write off' as well for those cruising west including myself.

well hopefully the forecast improves and we can head W this weekend :)

I am off to Ostend in a couple of days so I hope you do not intend to send it down the channel to me.

What always amuses me, is people that ask for a "better forecast". What you really mean is that you want one that shows less wind, so that you can justify going out & getting blown all over the place.
Then you can blame the forecast, even though you knew it was wrong & ignored the one that you knew was right in the first place.

The comparison bit on netweather.tv shows all 4 forecasts in fairly close agreement.

Looks like going west has just gone west.

(Sorry)

First day of Cowes week on Saturday... I'm currently not confident we'll get any racing. Rest of the week looks like it's going to alternate between about 10 knots and honking.

Mine obviously, yours is far to fragile and it only has one keel :D

Carrying a spare keel is always a good idea.

It was too rough in the Walton channel yesterday for my mate and his friend to get on board, from his dinghy so, if you don't mind, I might just opt out. I wouldn't want to alarm your wife.
