Tim, that sounds a nice assignment. If it's a 76 then I'm guessing you mean the magellano, right? If it is, could you give us a mini boat test report please? This is a boat I've had on my shortlist for a while and in many respects it is a wonderful boat. My problem with it is some hard to live with design clangers like the swim platform stick out bits that limit the tender LOA, dining table opposite sofa in saloon (but maybe that's ok? I'm not sure), hideous onlly-one-screen flybridge helm (which I suppose I'd just get completely remade from scratch). But the good bits of this boat and the "big yacht" feel are very nice indeed. The deck areas generally look lovely, and the aft deck with sun or shade at touch of a button and a proper lunch table looks excellent, for example.

So please can you give us a bit of a report, as far as you can without intruding on owner's privacy of course (maybe persuade him/her to post on here with pictures - that would be nice!)

Anyway, have a nice trip! Despite the forecast rain, it is going to be warm

No Chance, JFM's True Fairline Blue all the way!:)

But an Azi 76? Mmm...

RR

Er, yep, but which Fairline can I buy next R? I've sort of run out of road :D.

I like a lot about that Magellano 76 including its "Luxury 4x4" style but it needs some fixes and I don't think the factory would give me a key to their gate and let me in to mod it carte blanche. I think it is a tick box options boat only. That would rather spoil the fun, and the re-sale value. But you never know. I'll be interested to hear Tim's views, as I've never sailed in the thing of course.
