I am spending a full week onboard from this weekend. Mainly to recover from my 40 Birthday bash on Friday /forums/images/icons/smile.gif I regularly visit a BBC web site with a five day forecast for the Lakes but I would like to know what its going to be like further than that. Does anyone know or am I asking too much for a forecast so "in the future"
Regards - Ian

<onlineweather.com> They give you up to 15 days ahead. Its been more accurate than the bbc predictions. Print out bbc and online weather side by side, I find often the bbc under estimate the wind strength.
Ive got some very good sites but they are saved at work, Ill post them to you tomorrow.

Re: Weather info. (Hah, I did it!)

Try this <A target="_blank" HREF=https://www.nemoc.navy.mil/pages/autogen-charts.shtml> here </A>

I use this a lot with my sailing hat on. Its the best site I've found for wind speed and rain.

I didn't want to post another weather related message to the forums as I have already in the last 12 hours, pointing to my own weather website. Have a look if you want.

If you search the forums you will find ALOT of abuse of onlineweather and their accuracy and I would concur and never use them.

On the other hand, a completely different forecast, weatheronline I find to be very good for short and long range though you need to be aware that the fronts may arrive quicker or later than predicted in the long range. If you use a PC then try using the Raymarine software and GRIB data from Saildocs which I find very accurate. If you have any questions, I'll gladly answer them.

Good cruising
