I have just looked at the weather for our area and cannot reconcile the information from different sites!

Sat is OK but...

Sun 0600 to Mon 0600
Met Office
NW5 to 7 occ 8, backing S4 for a time

Walton Lifeboat - Lifeboat Weather
Sunday, Apr 06
0700 NW 15 kts
1000 NW 10 kts
1300 W 6 kts
1600 W 4 kts
1900 WSW 9 kts

If I had to sail to Levington on Sunday (as presumably Sirenia will) the 'local' forecast is fine but based on Met Office it would be NO WAY!

I am a simple sole - why isn't weather forecasting likewise! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

After weeks of waiting slipped lines for an exciting 3 hours wizzing up and down the crouch, much grinning when sailing and red faces on a Ba*$^ up trying to get back into our berth with the wind gusting on our port quarter blowing us off Opppps /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
(one positive was the nice looking ozzy lady who assisted with our lines but dont tell SWMBO i said that) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
for a first shake down sail after a 3 week rewire. Went very well with only one piece of kit not functioning.
Just happened to be the east coast sailors most vital piece of kit yep depth.
A bit of on the move diagnostics and a pair of wire cutters and hey presto disconecting the Garmin GPS from the depth transducer and the stand alone unit burst into life, thats what you get for trying to be too clever.

Next job is similar to Jims aligning the shaft thingy in the tube thingy not looking forward to that one.

well looking over my sholder at my white board only four jobs to go

Happy days

ive gone and fitted one of those metioman gadgets,it gives you barometric history for the previous 7 days. Its a very usefull indicator

It defineately pays to learn a few things about the weather,i.e mares tails = bad news
