Weather forecast for Thursday

I have a personal forecast sent to me which i am inclined to believe /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

But looking at the 2 sites i usually check there is a vast difference /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Here its not very nice at all

But here its almost better than a Guapacast

How the hell are we suppose to make decisions when there is so much variation from the professionals....

I have never had much faith in metcheck, windguru has always seemed to be more accurate.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but they look compatible; one is Ostend and one for Walton. Friday is looking better than they forecast once. But I still think Thursday is the best window at the moment.

You might have it on the nose on Thursday but lighter winds than Friday (when I'm sailing over again). Here's a few more to look at

Doug, try the ugrib programme as a supplement (google it). Its freeware, and so are the model files.

Download it and install (small prog) and then select area, download the latest grib file (easy) and animate the model. It will give you 3 days wind speed and direction modelling and I have found it to work well, it goes to very local detail.
They update the files constantly, so re-download just before the off, and have another quick look.
