On Thursday the met office has two low preasure systems moving east one slightly smaller and to the North.

Their prognosis is that they will separate further with the one to the North weakening.

I believe they are going to merge creating a super cell. If you are anywhere East of Lizard point and west of Dover watch out. You will be lucky to get away with minor damage even while tied up.

We in the North will have a lovely long weekend of sunshine and fair wind.

Sunny south coast...

Weather picture down here improving all the time.

We were going to just pop along from the Solent to Weymouth but now looking like cross Channel. Cherbourg Friday, Alderney Saturday and Sunday.

Looking forward to it...temperatures bound to be at least 5 deg C higher than you'll experience.

Now where's my sun block ?

You are right but in a few weeks time we will have perfect weather down here, but up North will still be up North!

Come on in - the water's lovely- a balmy 8 degrees C. It must be nice because there was a lady swimming off Brixham the other day wearing just a flowery swim suit. Either the temperature sensor on my boat is wrong or she's barking.

hm, non-responsible crewperson tho...

Interesting. No mention of a super-severe gale warning in orther forecasts.

I wonder what others would say - and i'm obviously talking about those who have to back their intepreatation of a bunch of forecasts with actions and taking responsibility for those actions i.e. mostly everyone here but not you eh?

Jeez, db, i do not often say this but i am glad i ain't on your boat. You want no skipper responsibilities BUT you own the boat, you alone carry out crew selection, you post here about when to post on forums (tongue in cheek i know , but it was said nevertheless) and now a very-severe-weather warning. Like it or not - you're the skipper aincha!?

But in seagoing matters, i'm afraid that until you understand and accept your own responsibilities - why bother trying to influence on those that can and will do so? Surely the opinion of someone who has no responsibilities invested in a forecast is worth no more than a pinch of salt.

Do you really know forecasting better, worse or about the same as yiou understand maritime regulations?

Can't you se that your interpratation is worth no more than - and seem s the same as - that a non-boaty person who judges the likely good/bad weathe forecast upon the experiences of the last trip?

Secretly, do you worry about the worst to the extent that you aren't willing to delegate or trust others with your safety, and don't trust yourself with theirs?

Dont worry about other people fighting if you live in the south you are going to need all your strength just to stand up.

Depends how much you drink- if you do need help to stand up, try leaning against a solid post eg a tree. Alternatively, just lean against a stout person ( just make sure you smile)
