Diesel is getting more and more expensive and has always been so on the Dart.
Good news, the local ferry and trip boat company installed their own fuel barge a while ago and the good news is that they will now sell it to the public.
They promise to be cheaper and hopefully it will be.
It is moored on the Dartmouth side of the river at about the same position upstream as the existing one.

The new guys ( River Link ) used to use the Dart Marina and when that stopped selling fuel moved across to the fuel barge. They bought their own fuel barge because I guess they have a large fleet including the passenger ferries. Now they can recoup some of the costs by selling to us! It has to be good news?

As a visitor but hoping to stop by for a last tax free top up before headed south next weekend that is very good news on two counts. First maybe the price will be better than Mr Grumpy Rip-Off's and second maybe we wont have to go round in circles for 45 minutes waiting for the Navy boats to fill up like we did last year!
