Coming a across the channel with visibility of about 2 miles, the sea was like a mirror, standing on the bow in brilliant sunshine just enjoying the moment,

Anchored in Newtown, on a hot summers day having lunch with good company.

new years day , cold but sunny and no one else out , sea calm and no wind, just playing.

Julie,
The good days always make up for the bad ones do'nt they.
We put up with a lot us boaters (expense - weather - boat problems - difficult neighbours etc) but one good day out and it is all forgotton.

Blue skies, not a cloud in sight. No wind. Mirror calm seas. Anchored in White Cliff Bay for lunch. Decided to go back to Lymington the long way via South Coast of Isle of Wight.

WOT and belting along on aforementioned mirror calm seas. Boring as hell.

Then discovered 4' standing waves off St Cat's!!!!! Joy!!!!

Poole - through the harbour 8kts to the chain ferry.
38 ft boat. Sunny day. Sea like glass,
Swing round to port take the inner channel past Sandbanks Hotel, point the nose at the Needles and slowly open the throttles to full
Feel the boat rise over the hump onto the plane like a greyhound released from its gate.
Look behind - nothing but spray.

Magic moment.

This ones easy. The day we launched Whitelighter. She is the first (and probably last) brand new boat we have bought and the build up of anticipation followed by seing her lowered into the water was fantastic!!!

Hotly followed by a superb run to Pool from Hayling on Easter sunday. Perfect sea and nice sunshine. Pleasant stop for lunch in Yarmouth and a good night at the marina on the quay - perfect!
