It could have been Cherbourg, Beaulieu, Cowes, Bembridge, Poole - anywhere.
What was it? Sitting on the mooring with Himself on all fours trying to clear our blocked heads. Wonderful stink that we tried hard not to let anyone know came from OUR boat. Despite the dinghy sailors falling off thier lasers as they went by. Added to this the blue cloud over our coachroof from the foul (in Oh, so many ways) language emitting from the cabin, and you have a yachtsmans bank holiday weekend nightmare.

So why, only an hour or so later, were we sat in the local with sailing buddies, STILL chatting animatedly about the joys of sailing.

Boy, have we got this sailing bug bad...

We have solved this problem on our new boat - the loo didnt work when the dealer handed over the boat. If we leave it like that, we have all the advantages.
* It will never need cleaning, other than a wipe over with a damp cloth
* It will never smell
* It will never need unblocking
* It is another couple of holes to the outside that I need not open up

Cant see what your problem was /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I had similar, though more local plans, BUT...

How long should it take to change a morse control? 2 hours seem reasonable? Off hand, I can't think of anything that could go wrong and didn't. It took 2 days - and it's still not quite there - I need a part to allow me to get the adjustment right!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Since I didn't trust the Morse too much, I did the antifoul on Monday.

What with a bruised chest from lying on the engine faffing around with the cables, aching bones from having to work in positions nature never intended me to be in, rheumatism from lying in puddles between the keels and blue hair, I need a holiday to recover! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

As age catches up you find these things. I seem to break ribs doing things that I would never have thought twice about when younger.
My gripe is that everyone finds this out as part of the the life process but no bug ger ever tells you what to expect!

But we don't take any notice if they do! Anyway, you remain convinced ageing is only something that happens to others and only slowly does the light dawn that it's happening to you as well.
