Made our minds up and done the deal today.
Very reasonable terms and paid in 6 monthly lumps, and they gave us credit for our 3 month winter stay, so initial payment is just another 3 months.

Stunning deal on lift out and antifoul AFTER everyone else has gone back in for the season. Will be ready just in time to go to the Mercury meet in May.

BTW, Bif confirmed they are extending the pontoons, so extra berths available this year. I will report the exact number to Eastcoastpilot.com when I know it.

I have very happy memories of Bridgemarsh, Biff, his dog, a bunch of really nice people, and seriously buggering up more than several docking manouvres.

Hows about a BBQ on the pontoons sometime this season ?.

Isn't that going to burn the pontoon ? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Jim, have to admit I'm surprised, and pleased for you

Great - it's a nice, friedly and distinct un-posh place to be - not sure we do blue ensigns at bridgemarsh, though!

We'll see you around, even more, then.

Extra pontoons - it will be difficult to get more berths for boats that don't like drying out. At low springs, most of the present residents ground - some at rather odd angles, and I don't think there's much more deepish water available for new deep-water pontoons. Fine for the bilge/lifting/shoal keels among us, though.

Blimey Jim i thought you were the last of the true swingers!!! but it does make a lot of sense as i have just spent a sunday night in Pyfleet with 30 knot winds and a 5ft chop you would have to had a very large tender to get out of that situation. Is it true that FC is going into Roxy colours to match the Bike /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

If you want to see me dressed as Neptune, you better come along to Mini AJ Vreny's naming in May at bridgemarsh.

less of a bbq, more of a 'lets napalm that sheep'.

Ali - I have had to forego the Club fees this year, to balance the books, as I have put my motorcycle back into service too. So we are not flying a blue ensign this year.

Maybe next year, if we return to Burnham moorings.

Bif said he is going to extend the main pontoon toward the creek entrance!

Haven't lived on a pontoon since 1995, but we have a lot of anklebiter activity on board planned this year, and this is a real novelty for Lynn.
Also Rice & Cole are getting a bit chippy with us apparently.

So we shall see if it is worth the extra hole in the budget (having said that I think Bridgemarsh is less than 170 quid a metre for all year)

My Oh My......

Does this mean that my kids won't get covered in yellow paint this year in the act of vandalising (fitting out!) your tender? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

No but there is an awful lot of very brown sludge to stamp up and down in..... still, the shower block is very nice.
