Wayfarer World sailing dinghy

Go on Wayfarer website and place advert FOC under boats for sale. Good luck.

FYI the Wayfarer World is not competitive as a racing boat so sell it as a cruising boat which is what it was spec'ed at with furling genoa

Hi,

A good condition Wayfarer should be pretty easy to sell, although most second hand one go for less than your friend will be looking for.

I assume you've looked at the current builder to see what a new one would cost, and you'll see that a lot of items are "extras" over the basic 5995 price, for example spinnaker, cover(s), trailer/trolley, reefing etc etc. It can all add up.

Yours may have been made by Porters, I can't remember exactly when the licence transferred to Hartleys. Porters used to sell the boat in named "packages" consisting of the boat and a typical set of options.

Suggestions for selling ...

- Boats and Outboards. We advertised ours there and got loads of responses. The advert went up on on Boats and Outboards, and got loads of responses. The ad went up on Sunday morning, and we had the boat sold on the Tuesday. Again, ours was a lot less money.

- UK Wayfarer Association has a For Sale section on the web site.

- You could contact also contact the UKWA personally, and see if they have any suggestions.

Hope this is of some help,
