Hi All,

In my excitement and rush to get the boat clean and shiny once again I have foolishly waxed where I am going to put my new decals "DOH" recommendations on wax removal materials please. Will an Acetone wipe over do the job?

DON'T use a solvent. Instead call up Autosmart and find your local dealer and buy 5 litres of G101 for £15. It will last ages as you can heavily dilute it and spread it further with warm water

Yes. Providing it is gel coat

I removed all the wax by using BRASSO first and then vinegar It worked and cost me nowt, as allready on board.

That's a great concoction, I love the home made recipes! That reminds me neat lemon juice is good for lime scale (might be of use to someone)

Thanks to everyone that replied, I had some meths kicking around in the workshop. Decals now on :encouragement:
