Waterproofs

I have just been reading a copy of Sea Angling and I notice that waterproof, breathable, flotation suits are a fraction of the cost of the yachty variety. I suppose that some one knows the downsides. If so what are they

Mustang floation worksuits are the standard gear for workers on fishing boats here in the Pacific North West....even Waste Marine list them for eq. of 100 pounds. BUT htey are not breathable ...they do keep you warm enough to survive for a while in 8 degrees C water!
