A while back I bought a Lifeproof waterproof case for my iPhone - so far so good.

Last week I forked out for their waterproof iPad case which seems ( ! ) waterproof..I'm too scared to try it out in the sink like I did with the iPhone. It seems all wrong to have the glass screen of the iPad open to the elements but again - so far, so good.

Not so sure about the free front cover that came with it - think I'd have been un impressed if I'd paid for it..

I have this Mophie for my iPhone. Waterproof and more than doubles the battery life.

Where can I get one of those? A quick google search shows no suppliers in the uk

True that.

I ordered mine from the US. Cost me big bucks after I got shafted by customs, HMRC and FedEx for import.

Sad thing I that having used I once I am going to have to sell it, as I have an iPhone 5 coming.

I cannot believe how much we pay for stuff in this country. I spoke to am importer of boat cleaning products yesterday. He told me that a pallet load of US products costing him $1000 ending up being £1200 by the time it go to his office.

How absurd is that! Especially considering it was probably made in Taiwan!

Forget the cases that say waterproof for a bit of a drop in the ocean you can do without the hassle and get the phones/electronic devices sprayed with/by Neverwet.

If the iphone 5 has this tech it would be amazing. I read Wired Magazine so always picking up new tech along the way. I was thinking this spray might be brilliant for the humm but then salt and sun would kill the idea pretty quickly but for daily application on racing boats it could take off.

Uxb...the lifeproof cover works for me. I have had mine fully submerged, and now regularly watch TV in the bath too.

Agree on the "wrongness" of exposing the screen...I'm going to get one of their screen protectors. The cover/stand does see like an afterthought though...

So how would that protect the internals? On the other hand, could this be the ultimate in antifouling?

Regarding the iPhone 5 and new iOS, I'd read about "912" but thought that date may have been prempted.

Every component is sprayed during the process effectively making it waterproof.

As for antifouling i dont think the tech will survive in salt water nor will it overcome UV sun damage.
