Waterproof electical connectors

Fitted a new FM radio/CD/DVD player bought via ebay from HK some weeks back for £80. Great unit and all tickety boo! However, I promised I'd get some waterproof connectors (e.g. bullet connectors) to replace the temporary electrical blocks I used. Looked in chandlers, Halfords, Maplins, web etc and can't seem to get very small dia. fittings or heat sealing tape small enough diameter. Utopian solution would allow me to break the connection easily (had to butcher the previous connections) So Peeps! Any ideas?
 
Get Bulgin connectors like they use on Simrad autohelms. Most chandlers sell them. Do a search on Farnell Electronics or RS spares/components as they both sell them. Do a search for these companies as I am short of time and have to go.
 
What you need are gel filled IDC (insulation displacement connectors)
Know any one who works in telecoms?
if not try a search on Google
 
Waterproof electrical connectors..the holy grail of marine electricery.What will undoubtedly work is to solder each and every and then coat with ''plasticote'' available West Marine Catalogue.

These are specified for 50 connect / disconnects. However, I wonder why you would need something like this for that piece of kit. If you need something this waterproof, the electronics aren't going to last long.

Why not just use ISO car audio connectors (2 X 8 -way, one for 4 sets of speakers, 1 for electrical connections).
 
Thanks all. The boat is dry so don't need submersible connectors...and if they get submersed hopefully I'm well away by then! The current electrical blocks are Ok but 'they wouldn't look good in front of the yacht club' and I feel I ought to waterproof a bit better. But maybe then again...they are easy??? Like all the solutions. Just got to decide. Easiest seems to be solder and coat or heat shrink. Again...thanks.
