Watermaker Advice

Hi All,

Any recommendations for a Watermaker? I quite fancy a mechanical one to fit on a Volvo 2040 (40hp) as I'll be running it 2 hours a day to charge up the batteries and thought I may as well get some water while I'm at it.

One possible requirement is that there will be spares available in the places you intend to sail to.

And make sure it is understandable for ease of maintainance, which I know (to my cost) can be very expensive.

Otherwise, why not look at the ARC survey of equipment, which will give a comparison of all the varous watermakers (among other stuff) that the participants have used.
