Waterline

My boat has a red waterline stripe. I have tried repainting with fibreglass paint, it looks good but quite predictably weeds just hang off the bit below the waterline. The trouble with red Waterline paint (I have used Blakes) is that although it prevents fouling the bit out of the water goes pink as it dries - orrible. Does anyone have any tips as to what to paint this stripe with to look good without fouling??

Use a hard non eroding motorboat antifouling for the strip.

There used to be available a clear antifouling which could be used for this purpose but legislation has now banned it's use.
