I use the strongest chlorine bleach I can find to clean out and freshen the tanks at the start of the season but I use Aquatabs as an on-going preventative after that. With the tabs it is much easier to add the correct dosage for water which will probably be taken internally, as it is impossible to know the concentration of household bleaches especially those bought in foreign supermarkets. They are both preparations of Sodium Hypochlorite, of course, too much of which will cause you harm.

Don't use anything other than a Whale filter to remove the nasty tastes of the shore supplied water. No ill effects (so far....).

Gull water filters are the best you can drink the water from anywhere when it has been treated by this filter they are very good beats others and saves alot of tank cleaning worrys
