Hi, I have an old Fairline and it has a water tank sender which has only ever partially worked. It is in a stainless tube permanently fixed to the tank. I have tried normal tank cleaning etc to no avail. It currently reads 100 ohms with the tank empty.
Can these senders be cleaned?
I have heard from RV Forums that a deep soak with Dawn Dishwashing Liquid cleans tanks, anybody tried that?
I have 2 options. … One/ try a deep clean and hope that works or two/ leave in situ and replace with a new sender. The second option runs the risk of debris from the cutting of the hole will enter the tanks and block filters etc.
