Water Tank Repair

There is a small hairline crack (approx. 1.5 inch) on the top side of my original moulded water tank on my snapdragon 747. I would like to repair but do not want to contaminate future water supply.
Is there a 'safe' product I can use to fix it, or, as only a little seeps out when tank is full perhaps gafir tape would suffice?

Any ideas ?

G'day Mari,

I would grind out the crack and apply epoxy resin and cloth, finish with some closed call balloons and coat of resin (flo coat).

But you can apply a little Araldite and keep an eye on the crack.
