i like this sensor, as external and no holes in tank
http://energy-solutions.co.uk/products/tank-senders
output 0-10V

but want a black round display, not the one henderson do
https://vdo-webshop.nl/en/78-water-..._20_ma/functionality-fresh_water_level_gauges
however they take an input of 4-20 mA

now i need a converter :(

or does some one know of a round black display that takes 0-10V ?

You need one of these

Did this work ok?

I am doing the same thing ( replacing the water sender ) and then need to connect to 2 existing "volvo" gauges.

The snag i suspect is that the gauge is part of the EVC system so the sender must interface to it at some point.

Were you doing the same thing?

Jeremy

Vetus UK do a similar fix:

A Water12B would work but it would also require an EP46849 interface ( for 0-10V to 0-20mA ) cost £58.- inc VAT
not on their website and will have to be ordered on line, i dont know if it actually works

Hi, jrudge, i am about to interface a henderson 0-10V pressure gauge with a VDO 0-20mA water gauge
the converter is on order from China, so that will take some time to sort
you'll have to find out what input the volvo guages take, the back of my volvo gear shows its made by VDO

think it is all VDO, the challenge is that is all all controlled I think by the EVC system.

Nothing of course stopping me from just adding more wires, but I would prefer to di it as properly as i can!
