Jabsco Mini Accumulator Tank - Compact design for smaller systems and confined spaces. Includes bladder so can be mounted in any position. Holds 0.6Litres, pre-charged to 10psi • Operating system pressure up to 125psi •
But I also found a figure of 1.4bar for an ECS one (Thats about 21psi)
The most efficient use of the accumulator occurs with the pre-charge set at the SAME pressureas the pump’s pressure switch “turn on” setting. Typically, a 40 psi [2.7 bar] pump will turn on at 20 psi
[1.4 bar]. Therefore, the pre-charge should also be 20 psi [1.4 bar]. The pre-charge MUST be set in a
“static” condition (pump off and at least one water fixture opened).
Having just checked my installation with a Whale pump set at 30psi max pressure, 20 psi for the accumulator seems a little high. Gradually reduce the pressure to minimise cycling, with mine about 16-18 seems best.
