Getting ready for winter and want to protect electrical stuff.
I know VP will charge me a fortune for something the same as WD40. Is it best to use WD40 or a silicon spray?
Also, is it OK to squirt the stuff behing switchgear at the helm?

WD40 is fine, or, I use 'Corrosion Guard' made my Mercury Marine - available from most chandlers or Mercruiser dealers
I use mine behind the helm of my flybridge - seems to work fine.
