water pump

Hi,
After a lot of advice from members, after an over heat issue (thanks guy's),
I have checked the engine out and found these issues.
1, water pump has a small weep at water pump
2, impeller has disintegrated
3, impeller plate is badly worn face

The boat is KEEL COOLED and has a pekins 4108 with bowman haet exchanger on top of front of engine above the 3 pullies.
I have a new water pump complete with gaskets and spacer plate
a new impeller gaskets and front brass plate

i have removed the pipe that goes from right hand side of impeller housing to gear box cooler and found small fragments of impeller there, i have washed this out and replaced again.
i have cleaned the inlet water filter and will do a full oil and filter change later

Is there anything else i need to check do before fitting these parts and running engine

Sounds like you have done everything already. A good comprehensive check and clean. So carry on and everything should be OK now.

CHECK THE "COMB" also the plate at the back, that is if it is a Jabsco, very likely a broken tongue caused the impeller to disintegrate.
