Evening All,

Unfortunately the water pump on my Yanmar 3gm30 raw, is of the type which means I cannot fit a Speedseal to the housing and having just renewed the impeller I am reminded that this would not be an easy job to do on a lee shore with lots of shouting and hollering gonig on !

This remained me that many moons ago I came across a kit which relocated the water pump, reorienting it to be face-forwards. I also remember it required some significant front clearance as well but beyond that I have no other memory.

Does thus ring a bell to anybody?
Has anybody got one?
If so, thoughts or comments.

Lastly, if the firm who used to do them are no longer in existence etc. how possible is it to replicate with a "trip" to ASAP fir example?

Thanks as always

Pladda

I remember seeing this mod a few months ago and remember thinking that I could make the mod kit myself for my 2GM20F then decided against it as it only takes a couple of minutes to remove the pump and twist it around on the hoses on my engine. you are right about the amount it would stick out though.

Found it http://www.tmarin.com/rotate-and-relax.html

As pete says, I have found it easiest to just release the whole mounting plate, slacken the hose jubilee clips and rotate the unit 180 deg. A headtorch helps too

Yep that is what I do, however it ain't as easy as it might be especially in a rush on a lee shore !
