I am searching for an opportunity to move my seaplane while on water with a couple of compact water jets installed inside the floats. Aircraft maximum weight is about 5500 kg (12299 lbs). My guess is that 10HP would be enough.

Does anybody aware about any ready to use or somehow suitable solution for that purpose, electrical or gas engine?

What's wrong with the Lycoming /Continental/ WSK sat in the nacelle?

One wonders what the CAA / FAA / EASA would have to say about such unapproved modifications to an aircraft and what it would do to your weight and balance calcs?

Talk to the men in suits first :)

Used to fly single and Twin Otters on floats. Best fun one can have with his clothes on!!!

We hauled canoes tied to the struts and carried outboards inside.

Unless you are prepared to design and produce an STC for your aircraft type, I would just adapt a removeable transom like contraption to your aft float spreaders.

(Consider the following for an STC: air intake for the engines, how to water tight the engine bays etc ... more than I would consider doing...)

If you need an experienced float pilot, let me know!!:D
