Water Deck Fitting Cap washer.

I have 2 water fillers on deck unfortunately I didn't note the make when up last week, possibly Whale or Plastimo. The plastic caps are opened by a either a winch handle or key. The sealing washer has failed on one, anyone know what the internal diameter of the washer might be? Could I use an appropriately sized O ring. the existing one is flat possibly neoprene.
