If you look here the last photo shows the inlet of the water pump. The page actually describes the fitting of a water flow alarm circuit, and the sizes of the pipes used are mentioned. The inlet strainer and pipework are all 3/4" BSP, but the water pump itself has a (roughly) 1/2" id inlet.

[/ QUOTE ] Probably there is. I just used the reinforced PVC pipe you can buy in the chandlers. It's a bit prone to kinking in tight turns but I don't think collapsing under the strain of suction from the wee impeller is much of an issue.
