Water a funny red colour river itchen

Anyone noticed the waters been a funny redcolour up the itchen ??? It’s even funny colour when I flush the toilet , i noticed it last Sunday but still like it today ,i was planning on putting my diving gear on to clean props before heading off today but don’t fancy it much now ???don’t want to make myself bad lol

Yes, I noticed it too earlier this week. Never seen it like that before. I was in St Malo the week before and the locked basin was a similar colour. Probably worse. Didn’t like the look of it at all.

It can be quite toxic on skin etc...

When I were a lad the river Stour used to be be all sorts of funny colours. But that mostly depended on the dyes they were using in the carpet factories the day before...

Noticed that too and been like that for weeks, wondered what was causing it. It is a pain as I can't check the props to clean etc.
