Took a few hours off work this afternoon to play on the boat. Lovely afternoon, even sat having a beer watching Warrior return from drydock in portsmouth harbour.

I was tidying the ropes up before I left and tucked the reefing lines in side the main sail cover and got stung by a couple of wasps.... there was about 10 in side the main sail. Bloody wasps got my revenge with the hose pipe though.

Thought you must be mistaken about Warrior as Commander Tom's website says its due back on 18th, hallucinations brought on by wasp stings perhaps, but the "Harbour Eye" at 14:37 shows that you are right after all!

Wonder if they were looking for a place to bed down for the winter, I found a whole load hiding in the slot where the bolt rope runs along the boom on my old yacht.......... so I poured lighter fluid in from the other end and light the f***ers up! Very satisfying!

Not wasps, but when I was removing the mainsail from the boat yesterday pm (she was craned out a week or so ago and I hadn't got round to destowing the upper deck until then) hundreds of flys came out - obvously thought they'd found somewhere safe for the winter.
