Me thinks there was a 'king big safety boat pretty close all the time, just out of shot, but for all that she still had to the paddling etc.

I still have three sea kayaks - they don't see much action these days.
A whole different experience.
Sailing off with a couple of kayaks in tow to get in close and explore would seem like the best of both worlds. (though I've never tried it)
I've been into the caves at Staffa on a day that the tour boats couldn't land - classic!
But I'd think twice about the trip she undertook - even with a safety boat.

Kate Silvertons program is repeated on Sunday 26th at 1900 on BBC 2 (in the London area at least) If you missed in yesterday set the video for Sunday!
The third in the series is Kate Humble caving, but not sure off hand when thats going to be on.

I watched that program, and thought she was fantastic! I shall look at her in a whole different light now when she reads the news! still think she's gorgous though!
Course I don't want to take anything away from what she did, but she did have a team of folks there waiting to rush in and save her if she got into trouble, which is more than you or I would have if we attempted the same thing!
But she did do incredibly well!
