I had a problem with a braided rope jib sheet where the outer seemed to have shrunk. I fixed one end and tried pulling along it with a rag in my hand. It would not restore the outer to its correct place.
I soaked the rope in a bucket with detergent and rinsed then found that the outer very easily returned to its correct length. olewill
