Washboard lock - where to get one?

I need to fit a lock to a spare, "laying-up-in-winter", washboard. I'd like the same sort as is fitted on our "proper" washboards, namely a simple barrel fitting that goes through the washboard, with the key rotating a strip of metal that then fits up behind the hatch. (there's probably a technical name for it).

Sometime ago a link to a manufacturer's site was posted on the forum - I bookmarked it, but lost it when my PC was reconfigured.

Any suggestions?

The washboard (it came with the boat) already has a hole drilled for the type of lock I'm looking for.

I was trying to avoid having two different types of locking device..

Thanks Alan, that also looks suitable (very much like the one on the main washboards)- I need to measure up and see what will fit.

On thinking about it, as our boat is a Moody, the builders probably sourced bits from similar places to Westerly...

Why not do what I do? Take the lock out of the proper washboards, and put it into the winter one. Saves a few beer vouchers.

Will it withstand a heavy kicking, mine didnt! Nowadays in addition to the yale holding the washboard (called a door on a catamaran /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif)shut, mine now also has a heavy padlock holding the door to the overhead hatch.

You might also want to have a look at:

They provided me with a pair of matching ones complete with 6 keys for I have the same as you, winter and summer washboards and don’t like removing the locks once in place.

Also ensure they are suitable for the dreaded salt water.

My pair were less than half the price of similar but unsuitable ones from my boats association.
