Wash down pump problems

I have a Jabsco Parmax X3 50psi pump that has suddenly started to pulse whenever I use the hose to wash down the decks after a fishing session. The water comes out in spurts instead of a steady flow. Any ideas of cause and how to fix?

Has the hose collapsed or kinked internally?

Is there a blockage on the inlet to the pump?

Those are the two most likely things that come to mind

does the motor switch on and off, or is it working steadily while th epulsing occurs ?

Internal hose is ok. I did notice a load of muck squrting out and a foul smell when I first pressed the on handle.

Its a very rapid pulse so hard to tell if motor switching on and off.

Is there a built in filter I can check?
