That photo must have been taken very near my boat. She is moored next to the yellow ex admiralty pinnace.
I see that West Solent a lot, it lives on a mooring off of Heybridge and often sails past. Don't know the owner/skipper but he can really sail her. There are often West Solents in the yard, the resident shipwright is in much demand as he sort of specialises in restoring and maintaining them. Not a poor mans boat by any means, but beautiful.
You can look up the owner's name on the west Solent web page. She is, as Rhoda says, from Heybridge, and according to the data on that page there are several others in Maldon and Heybridge. Several enter the regattas in the vicinity in the summer. Beautiful boats!
