Came into the Hamble river about 9.30 to 10 last night and there was a not big big but just big petrol tanker aground just by the entrance to the Hamble river, does anyone know how it happened?, they were gone this morning.

Far more exciting things were happening up norf. In garstang marina this boat set off, going down wind, then tried to turn at the down wind side of the basin. I was watching and waiting for the carnage. It came a bit more forcefully than I expected. He aimed straight for the nearest boat and hit it full chat!! I was going to turn the barge round anyway, so set off early thinking of dragging him off the lea shore if he was still there. So in the rush, forgot about the electric cable for the first time in my life. Luckily Deb spotted it just in time. Thought I'd get it in first before Deb does.../forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Just shows you how difficult it is actually, to read and identify lights at night.
