Warning for travel in France

I am not too sure how much this is being reported in the UK, but here in France there is currently a blockade of the the fuel refineries which has resulted in shortages of fuel in the petrol stations here in the SofF. Currently there is a limit of €20 for petrol and €15 for diesel. This is on top of the train strike, a potential power station workers strike and an ATC strike next week.

Got fuel for the boat fine. Only 30l for me, but the guy in front with the Van Dutch took 300l and no one blinked.

Apart from that it is mid 20s, I have been swimming and its Rosé o'clock.

We are travelling down France to Portugal next Tuesday........I only thought it effected North France so thanks for the additional information.
I'll make sure I fill to the max in Folkstone before the Eurotunnel.
Might sneak a can of diesel in the car.
Would appreciated any further information that you come across.

We are currently in the SW of France and today after a 5 min wait, filled up with diesel at our local supermarket petrol station, although the price was considerably higher than last week at 1.17 per litre. I will add that our usual Total station was completely out of fuel.
 
The Total at Beaulieu S/Mer is out of petrol completely and only had the premium diesel (is there such a thing?). Port Beaulieu was €1.34 a litre.
 
Deleted User and I have just been touring round the Alps on our motorcycles; fuel shortages only became apparent in the past couple of days, but in that time were evident in most places that we saw with very long queues and rationing. Diesel seems to be the main problem - gas stations in Gap and Antibes for example were completely out. Total seems to be worst affected; BP also affected in Antibes but Esso looked ok when I went past this morning. I don't know what the situation is on the autoroutes though (I've left my bike in France; I'll go back in a few weeks to collect it when the dispute is over).
 
Oh dear, we're about to set off on a drive to SoF with the family for half-term - the whole holiday we will be driving.....
 
I have a vehicle driving down all day Friday so can report back then. My Nice airport taxi driver tuesday evening said there were plenty of places near Antibes to get fuel, and he was about 60% full
 
It seems that the supermarket fuel stations are more likely to have fuel. We will be on the motorway later today heading down towards Port Leucate so will get a chance to see what is available.
 
Topped up the hire car yesterday. Q,s mainly lorries on the A8 , and the little filling station at the airport lorries seeking diesel .-Nice -----it's on the news

The whole fuel problem is overstated in the South. No doubts the strikes are hitting loads of services/life elsewhere.

Only fuel shortages/queues seem to be caused by panic buying and Brits ('cos if we see a queue we join it).

Auchan today midday -- drive in, fill up , move on. Tanker arrived at same time as I was filling up.

Gazole available as well as petrol? Gazole seemed to be the main problem earlier in the week.
 
I'm in Monaco and my taxi driver said there are ten minute queues in a few places in CDA but no rationing and no problem. Loads of taxis at nice airport. He also said there was no problem on autoroutes(motorways)
Monaco is very alive with GP yacht parties and stuff, and people driving their own supercars (or their dad's) around the F1 circuit
