Just bought one of those stainless steel patio heater thingies on eBay

Must say its very impressive, we are sitting in the garden warm as toast.

Strikes me that this would be a great addition to the boat for those long cold night passages, if I fit one of those transom mounted radar poles, the heater would fit a treat at the top and I guess one bottle of gas would last for a couple of channel crossings.

A bonus would be that when the sun shines it would act as a sunshade

You've either got a very big bottle or a very fast boat.
These patio heaters are a wonderful idea. Instead of slipping on a jumper, why not warm the all the air on your patio!

These things really get me.

You walk into B&Q or whereever and see mountains of stuff which they sell to help insulate your house - and then thay also have these things which mad people buy to heat up the outside.

Am I missing something?

Thank goodness it's not just me. These things should be illegal.

Rant held in abeyance.

<hr width=100% size=1>my opinion is complete rubbish, probably.
