What with this report of a pot buoy in the Dolphin Passage near Portsmouth, and others on the direct line between there and Chichester entrance, I can't help wondering if this is some sort of misguided class warfare ?
Fishermen don't seem to realise we yotties sacrifice a lot else to have our pride & joy, which probably cost less than the average pot boat.
I have had serious words with fishermen who laid pots on long floating lines among our moorings, and chums have spotted them laying nets across whole channels; even if not deliberately yot embuggering - and I think they are -, these people are at least as antisocial as burglars and vandals, and do pro' fishermen no favours at all.
Time for the vigorous response so lacking from harbour staff let alone plod...
