Two questions for the panel.
Last weekend the Wardrobe in the starbouard aft cabin on my Targa 48 had around 3 inches of fresh water in it. I removed carpet from floor of Wardrobe and the floor is in fact a plastic dish about four inches deep ideal for holding water.
We cleaned it out (fresh water) and tried to replicate leak by putting loads of water over screens, window etc, but it stays dry as a bone. any ideas?
Question two:
We cleaned off teak using a two part cleaner and then applied Semco sealant.
We notice now that the surrounding black corking is softening and easily smudges on to teak. This is not the corking between the teak but the corking that is used to fill the joint between the edge of the surrounding gelcoat and the teak decking.
Our neighbours are starting to get a similar problem.
Any one else?
Any one got a cure?
