Having got the teak (I think it's teak: being an owner of a plastic boat wood is wood to me!) clean and nice I was rather disappointed that the teak oil was dark enough to make it go dark again.

Now I am doing the grab rails on the coach roof and don't want to make the same mistake. Any recommendations for a very pale teak oil? I have tried International and Star Brite - both the color of beer. I was thinking something more the color of champagne.

Thought you folks would know about this sort of thing...

You might try the furniture polish section of your supermarket, and look for "Danish Wood oil" or something similar, which is intended for Scandinavian teak furniture. Out in the open, you'll probably have to give the teak a lot of this stuff, as it is a very porous timber.
Peter.

I agree danish wood oil is good stuff. But I have to disagree with you that teak is porous, it isnt and a good job too!
