When we are in familiar ports, we often know things that first-time visitors do not. e.g.
- which are the eating & drinking establishments boaters frequent?
- where can I get simple repairs done (e.g. re-stitching the zip on a canvas dodger)
- what's worth looking at on a trip ashore?
- boater-friendly local accommodation
I want to collect this information for UK and French coastal ports, with a view to putting it all on a website one day, so please be aware that any responses are likely to end up in the public domain.
