Wanna pop your liferaft?

My liferaft is scheduled for a service this year. Before my ownership it was serviced by Messenger Marine. I checked their website for details and found they are planning an Open Day, March 8th, which includes flare demos, liferaft activation, etc. I plan to be there and see what happens when I pull the string on my raft.

Given that there have been a few flares and liferaft Q's lately, it might interest others. Details at:

Thanks Ken, been looking for somebody closer to home to get Life Raft serviced - open on Saturday too, makes life much easier. Shall try to get to Open Day, chance to see kit in operation.

If there's agreement on that, I could check whether Emsworth Slipper SC (on the quay) is open, and whether they'd welcome us.

Othewise the boozer by the Hayling Bridge at Langstone is scenic.

Ken -- why not just announce a time and place (either suggestion looks good, say 1pm) and let's see how many people can get there. Maybe make a separate post. I certainly hope to be there, though a work trip is looming.
