Not wishing to teach Granny etc but we are moving towards springs so dont forget the LW will be lower than at neaps. Morning LW (0645) is 0.8m above datum, evening (1915) only 0.4m on datum.
I usually reckon on Pye End being around 0.9m at datum and like to have about 1m of tide for my 1.5m draft, unless it is very quiet and I don't mind bumping the bottom, which may be sand but feels like concrete.
Goodness knows what the depth around Stone Point is. I didn't find the "7ft at datum" that has been suggested the other day.
As one whose home port is the Backwaters I believe that the minimum depth at Stone Point is about CD +0.7m. Following recent plough dredging I believe there is a plan to resurvey but until then the best information is on my Stone Point Survey Thread.
Given your draught you should have no problem transiting Stone Point 4hrs either side of any High Water but because of the strong currents, to provide good control, if possible, I would always enter against the flow. The shallowest point is around the Plumtree PLM. The outfalls are impressive rather than dangerous but there is little water outside the buoyed channel.
If you are transiting on Sat 18th Aug be advised as the W&FYC are holding their Annual Open Pier Race there will be a lot of dinghy traffic a couple of hours around the AM high water.
The W&FYC Open Day is on Sun 19th Aug, when the Walton Lifeboat plans to visit the club quay for a couple of hours around HW & will be open to the public - a rare treat for all ages. There will also be a auction of over 100 useful 'boatie lots' - including a cricket bat - see Captain Pete's Thread for full details.
The W&FYC will also be partying on Stone Point on Sat 25th Aug.
If you require resupply Tesco at Walton is open until 2300 & your easiest access is from the W&FYC Quay at the top of Foundry Reach (less than a 5minute walk); access by big boat about 2 hrs either side of HW dinghy about 3 hrs either side of HW (Foundry Reach dries completely at low water)
