Wallas Hob not firing up

Plenty of amps and 12.9V
plate getting warm, from the glow plug ?
fuel in the tank and in the copper pipe feeding the hob

no error codes, just yellow on light showing for last 5 mins
then red flame starts to flash, no extra heat
switches itself off after a further few mins

is the pump dud ?
how can I test it without making a mess ?

pump not clicking loudly last night, anchorage noisy
tapped it with a hammer this v quiet am, started ticking straight away, all ok now ?
obviously not normal, is that a common issue with these small diesel pumps, used regularly
replace it, or keep the hammer ready ??!!

Had something similar with a diesel heater pump. Quick tap always started it.

Pretty normal! Keep the hammer ready and look out for a spare on ebay or other site of your preferance for second hand parts.

Wallas bits are pretty pricy!
