i have got an old wallas heater of about 1982 vintage which uses paraffin but blows warm air, thus avoiding condensation. it worked well enough for the first part of the season but not now. Various drunken assaults on it have failed to resurect it and it clearly needs a good service. Does anyone know where I could get it serviced?

Try Karunda Marine. We also have an old Wallas heater, which works the same way as yours [when it works].
I dont know if your heater is bulkhead type or ducted hot air type? Ours is a bulhead type - the biggest problem with these is that if you leave the deck exhaust vent open, water can get in. Due to the construction of the heater, this water ends up on the electronic circuit board that controls the heater .........
About 6/7 years ago I was quoted £100 for a replacement circuit board from SL in Glasgow. I considered this too much, and spent the next few months repairing the old damaged one!

Hope this is of use or at least interest!
